Abused child, orphaned at an early age, ran away to join the cirus, decided to be a hero and accidentally became a criminal; sounds like a normal origin story for a hero, right?

Okay, maybe it isn't, but it's Clint's life. The people who should have cared about him didn’t, and the people he cared about had a nasty habit of screwing him over. That part's improved a lot since he first appeared, but there's still the occasional problem on that front. Clint’s the one who tries. It doesn't always work out very well, and he gets kicked when he's down a lot, but he always tries, no matter what.
